Curating and Designing sets for
D'DECOR FINE FABRICS
PLANNING THE SHOOT
Planning a Fine Fabrics Shoot requires to understand the collection and the inspiration, what look the design team wants to achieve, the details the design team wants to highlight. Understanding these details helps us to build mood board/look board and share it with the team. This will have each & every detail sorted from the beginning - right from the back wall design , finish, window and door designs and finishes. Every little detail is taken care of.

This was a Neutral collection for the upholstery and curtain category. The color of the set was soft white so that the nuetral range of curtains and upholstery can easily stand o

velvet fabric shoot
This was a plain velvet collection with really bright and cheerful colors. The idea here was to highlight the color and the quality of the fabric from the shoot. So we took a really dull and rustic backdrop, we painted the wall and the flooring in the same rustic charcoal finish. Even the choice of furniture had to be simple here,so the fabric can be the hero here.

EVERYTHING IS IN THE DETAILS
While planning a fine fabrics shoot, one has to be very focused on showcasing the fabric textures, designs, finish and quality. So, the shots have to be designed in a way that all these details are easily highlighted.
MONOTONE SHOOTS
Sometimes just playing with the same tone can highlight the categories beautifully. Here I have chosen all neutral colors and the sofa fabrics and side table is darker than the rest of the room, as this was a wallpaper and an upholstery shoot and both the categories had to be given equal importance. While planning for the wallpaper shoot the focus is always on the wall and the rest of the room & furniture has to be chosen very wisely so it does not overpower the wallpaper and yet accentuates the room décor.

CURTAINS SHOOT
In Curtains shoot, we always want to showcase how the collection will brighten up the entire room, so its best to showcase the living room set where you can show the curtain fall, texture & the overall feel . We can also highlight how the fabric looks when the sunlight falls on it. The remaining fabrics are shown in the form of cushions on the sofa or accent chair.

PLAY OF WARM AND COOL COLORS
Depending on the collection, the choice of the colors for the rest of the finishes, textures, flooring, carpets, wall finishes is then decided. Cool and warm colors have different feeling that they evoke. And depending on the use of room the colors can be chosen as well.

curtain shoot
Here , we have chosen cool tones as the collection was blues, grey and silvers which more on the cooler tone hence the rest of the room was in cooler tone.
